<image:caption>Watercolor painting of God, a character from Potential~ God is an Anunnaki who has been assigned Gaia (Earth) as her personal protectorate after it was confiscated from Enlil. It's her responsibility to protect and defend humanity- none of the other Anunnaki wanted the job, not even Grandma Ki. This is how she appears when she isn't fused with her technorganic raiment. God is not her real name, but rather the title given to any Anunnaki who's assigned to be Lord and Protector over Earth. Here, God holds a summoning tablet (libra). This is one of several ancient tablets that can summon a powerful being. Humanity is completely unaware that God is actually a woman. She is one of the last Anunnaki women to still be alive after Enlil murdered most of them thousands of years ago during the Great Flood. This is watercolor on cotton paper.</image:caption>

<image:title>Potential - Chugkh</image:title>
<image:caption>Chugkh is a raptor who lives in the water and must swim through creeks and rivers to keep up with his companions, Sohlo and Jeann the snow raptor. After a traumatic event years ago, he was afflicted with a curse that causes him to start involuntarily self-immolating as soon as he's dry. To cope, he's adapted into a sea creature. Some of his favorite catches include sockeye salmon and spruce tips. He also loves berries and honey. Chugkh once went out onto the mudflats and got stuck when the tide started to come in. He almost got himself and others drowned because they had to go underwater to pull him free from the mud. Naturally, he's developed a bit of a phobia about mudflats and he avoids going near one as much as he can.</image:caption>

<image:title>Potential</image:title>
<image:caption>Chugkh swimming in a stream~ This is a concept artwork exploring how Chugkh might look in hand-drawn animation in a style similar to traditional cel animation when animation was still handpainted. This was before digital painting took over traditional painting, like the CAPS system developed by Walt Disney Studios in the 80s. CAPS stands for Computer Animation Production System. This is acrylic gouache on paper. This is the first acrylic gouache painting I've done that looks decent, as acrylic gouache is not an art medium that I have much experience in. I have far more experience in traditional gouache, which behaves differently. For example, traditional gouache can reactivate after it dries whereas acrylic gouache is waterproof once it dries (and can never be reactivated, but can be easily painted over...)</image:caption>

Inanna is an Anunnaki, a race of godlike beings in Potential who have fused with their techno-organic raiment and live in a realm lightyears from modern day Earth. The Anunnaki are the ones who created humanity thousands of years ago. Inanna is one of the only Anunnaki women to survive The Night of Rain, an event where almost all female Anunnaki were murdered by Enlil and his sycophants. This event is sometimes also called The Night of the Long Rain. Ever since then, Inanna has struggled alone to prevent Enlil from carrying out his worst desires against her, Grandma Gaia, and all of humanity. There's no woman that Enlil hates more than Inanna, for she's the only being in the universe who can match/beat him in power and skill.</image:caption>

<image:title>Potential - Enlil - Concept Art</image:title>
<image:caption>This is Enlil, the villain of Potential. He was the first Anunnaki to master the art of fusing with his techno-organic raiment and the art of levitation. Enlil has been known by many names to humanity- Zeus, Jupiter, Jove, Thor, Set, God, etc. He is one of the oldest of the Anunnaki. Unlike many of the other Anunnaki, Enlil hates humans and regrets helping to create them. He's always trying to figure out ways to destroy humanity or make them slaves again. Enlil is responsible for The Night of Rain, an event that not only killed off most female Anunnaki but also killed off most of the human race thousands of years ago. Since the 1790s, he's been under house arrest and dealing with litigation for his crimes against humanity. By early 21th century, the other Anunnaki are hopeful they now finally have enough evidence to convict Enlil once and for all. Enlil is a hateful, violent misogynist. He believes that women are inherently incapable of Actualizing their Potential, that they're the source of everything wicked and vile in the universe, and that only he can end the "sin" that is womankind...</image:caption>

<image:caption>Early concept art of Sohlo, the battle priest from the world of Zuu... Sohlo is a character from Potential who's usually seen with Jeann the snow raptor. Chugkh, the raptor who lives in the water, is usually nearby but he has to stay in the water to keep wet and cool. Sohlo wears technorganic raiment, an ancient technology created by the all powerful Anunnaki. This raiment, or clothing, changes from pure white to different shades of grey and even midnight black based on Sohlo's mood. In Potential, technoorganic raiment reflects the soul and essence of the character who wears it. It's clothing that adapts itself to the wearer. This is graphite (pencil) on paper that's been lightly shaded with digital paint on the computer. Potential is being developed as a novel, an animated film, and as an opera.</image:caption>

<image:title>Art - Apples and Lemons</image:title>
<image:caption>Apples and Lemons in soft pastel on paper... This is my impressionist interpretation of a still life I put together that included red apples, lemons, a lamp, etc. I like how quick marks look in soft pastel- you can see the gestures in the strokes. This is about 18x25 inches in size. I feel pulled in different directions with my art, drawing an illustration one day then painting something classical like a still life in oil paint or soft pastels the next day. My taste in music is also ambiguous in that I love classical composers like Beethoven, Mahler, and Sibelius (while also listening to the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack for the 10th time). I love both Mozart and Vangelis. I love opera and Disney movies. The only real problem is finding the time to indulge in everything I like. I don't see a reason to prefer pop culture over classical/fine art, and vice versa. I enjoy the best of both worlds, so why not have that reflected in the art I create?</image:caption>

<image:caption>Sag, an abstract espressionist oil painting... The word "sag" is ancient Sumerian. It has several meanings including person, heart, head, and abstract meanings that we don't have the context for. Sumerian is thousands of years old, so we can only know so much about how the language actually worked. This was painted with different values of light pink oil paint with a palette knife onto canvas. I created this painting to express my emotions in dealing with the disease of endometriosis. An alternate name for this piece could be "womb", since mine has caused me so much pain. This is oil paint on canvas. Size is about 18×24 inches.</image:caption>

<image:caption>watercolor & marker I like art nouveau. Alphonse Mucha was one of my favorite artists of that art style, and this piece was partly inspired by his work. I also greatly admire the work of Gustav Klimt, a symbolist painter who also painted when art nouveau was popular in Europe in the late 1800s to early 1900s.</image:caption>

Or an attempt at a joke. I just had the idea for this randomly and sketched it out before deciding to make it into a comic strip. The original sketch had more life to it, but I like how the polished line art turned out. My studying of Taoism also influenced this. Sketched with a mechanical pencil (graphite) on paper. <image:title>Sketchbook</image:title>
<image:caption>Purple birch tree with the first layer of paint~ I don't know what I'm doing here. Some color theory, but I mostly painted this without thinking about it. Purple (violet) is a complement to yellow. I added a small amount of purple paint to the white snow (so it's not pure white). Ultramarine Violet was used for the purple. A small amount of Cadmium Yellow added to lots of Titanium White was used to paint the pale yellow background. This is based on one of the birch trees near my home. This painting isn't finished, but I kinda like it as it is right now. With art it's really hard to know when to stop and when to keep pushing to see if the painting can be improved or developed better. Sometimes you risk making a decent painting worse, you know? This is oil paint on canvas (stretched over a wooden frame).</image:caption>

<image:title>Sketchbook - Apples and Lemons</image:title>

<image:caption>Winter birch tree in the style of Abstract Realism~ This is my first serious attempt at Abstract Realism, where you're supposed to blend recognizable imagery with abstract elements. I'll probably add one or two more layers of paint to this before it's done. The gold paint here is hard to see in this photograph, but that texture was partly achieved by adding beeswax to the gold paint. This is oil paint on canvas stretched over a wooden frame. The dimensions are about 24x32 inches.</image:caption>
